Cheney: Any attempt to impeach Obama would be distraction

Dick Cheney(CNN) — Although a fierce critic of Barack Obama, former Vice President Dick Cheney does not support calls from some on the far right of his party to impeach him, saying it would simply create a distraction.

“I’m not prepared at this point to call for the impeachment of the President,” Cheney said in an interview with CNN’s “The Lead with Jake Tapper.”

Cheney believes Obama is “the worst president of my lifetime” and that “Jimmy Carter might have been a better President,” but impeaching him is not going to accomplish much.

Both Obama and Carter are Democrats, while Cheney is a conservative Republican who served two terms under George W. Bush. SOURCE

I have to admit, I wanted to see Obama impeached, convicted and removed from office. I wanted to see him and his entire crew in prison garb for the rest of their natural lives, I still do, but I have to agree with former Vice President Dick Cheney on this one.

The unscrupulous regime of Barack Hussein Obama knows full well how to spin out a new headline grabbing scandal any time one is needed to take the focus OFF of Obama and whatever it is he happens to be doing to anger the American people.

It’s almost impossible to keep track of the transgressions made by the Obama regime, I know I have given up on trying to keep them in my arsenal of blog facts and figures, it’s easier to do a Google search and link back to some analytical type that lives to compile data and figures.

Even having incredible search capabilities and knowing how to use them to sort through the BS to get to the truth can be very frustrating at times; you see, you can present the most well researched, well written and factual piece imaginable and there will always be one problem you’ll never escape most Americans have the attention span of the average 3 year old and their ability to comprehend is even more skewed.

I don’t know how many times I have tried to tell friends and readers; the impeachment of Barack Hussein Obama is NOT going to happen, at least not now. I wish they would read and understand this regarding the impeachment process.

The Process of Impeachment of the President of the United States.

Impeachment is a long and drawn out process and it is NOT one that will always offer you a guaranteed outcome.

Calls for the Republican-led House to impeach Obama are coming from Sarah Palin and other harsh conservative critics at the height of midterm campaigning. His administration’s handling of the immigration crisis on the southern border has amplified the small chorus.

However, such a step is considered far-fetched, especially after House Speaker John Boehner expressed disagreement with the premise in this case.

Saint Sarah of Palin must be wearing the *cheerleader* suit again, that or she’s just not seeing her name in the news enough lately.

You would think that someone in Palin’s position would KNOW the process that is needed to successfully execute an impeachment, but, possibly, Palin isn’t as smart as some think she is. Just sayin’…

I don’t always agree with John Boehner, I think that’s a known fact, but in this case I am in agreement with him. Far-fetched and a distraction is exactly what Obama and his cronies would like to see happen; take the short attention span of the average American and divert it even more and hopefully, as the Dems believe, they can snatch a victory in the upcoming election in November.

Obama has clashed repeatedly and sharply with Republicans during his presidency.

Apparently Captain Obvious found himself a job with CNN as a writer. :)

Cheney, however, did offer limited support for House Republican efforts to sue Obama over their claims he has abused his authority on a number of occasions by unlawfully going around Congress to carry out policy.

They’re focusing their unusual legal action on a piece of Obamacare, a major political flashpoint between the GOP and the President and his supporters.

“I’m glad to see the House Republicans are challenging him at least legally at this point. But I think that gets to be a bit of a distraction just like the impeachment of Bill Clinton did,” Cheney said.

Until recently I had never heard of filing suit against a sitting President but apparently it is a realty. I don’t know what good it will do, if any, but at least there is some sign of life from the GOP.

Bill Clinton was impeached over the Monica Lewinsky affair, but not convicted and you could expect that same result if Obama were to be impeached; a lot of noise, smoke and hoopla but when it’s all over Obama will still be the guy in the Oval Office and feeling more empowered than ever.

In my estimation the only real option that we have is to win the 2014 elections and take back the U.S. Senate, then, with GOP control of BOTH Houses Obama and his pen can be controlled until 2016 when we retake the White House and return this nation to a stable and mature leadership.

I just hope the GOP doesn’t blow it.
